Learning Disabilities
Everyone deserves the opportunity to live a full, independent, and fulfilling life. Our learning disabilities support helps adults and children develop skills, build confidence, and participate actively in their communities.
What's Included
We support individuals to develop and maintain essential life skills including personal care, cooking, budgeting, and using public transport, building independence step by step.
Assistance with attending clubs, classes, social events, and community activities, ensuring meaningful engagement and reducing isolation.
Trained carers who understand positive behaviour support strategies, working with individuals who may display challenging behaviours with patience, consistency, and respect.
Regular monitoring of physical and mental health needs, medication support, and liaison with healthcare professionals and social workers.
Who Is This For
This service is designed for children, young people, and adults with a range of learning disabilities including Down's syndrome, fragile X syndrome, and other conditions that affect cognitive development and daily functioning. We also support individuals with complex needs who require higher levels of care.
Our Approach
We believe that every individual with a learning disability has the right to make choices about their own life, and our care is designed to maximise autonomy rather than create dependency.
Our carers are trained in person-centred active support, positive behaviour strategies, and safeguarding. We work closely with families, social workers, and local authority teams to ensure coordinated, consistent care.
